When Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) entered Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections 2026, many thought it would be just another symbolic fight. But results told completely different story. Vijay’s party won a massive 108 out of 234 seats, making it the single-largest party in the Assembly.

This is no small feat. Established powerhouses like the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) were pushed to the background.

The movie scene that feels too real now

Here’s where things get even more filmy.

Back in 2024, Vijay starred in ‘The Greatest of All Time’ (popularly called ‘GOAT’). There was this particular scene that didn’t mean much at first. Vijay’s character drives out of a house, and the camera briefly focuses on the car’s number plate.

It reads: TN 07 CM 2026.

At the time, it felt like a clever detail. Today, it feels almost eerie.

The clip has now gone viral again after the election results. Fans are calling it a “prediction” or even a “manifestation” of what was to come. Social media is flooded with reactions. One Instagram user wrote, “This is uncannily true.”

Interestingly, by the time ‘GOAT’ released, Vijay had already formed TVK and openly expressed his political ambitions. He had also hinted that he would step away from films to focus fully on public life.

Looking back, the signs were always there. People just didn’t connect the dots then.

Politics ahead, films in limbo

While Vijay’s political career is racing ahead, his film journey seems to be pausing at an uncertain point.

His supposed final film, ‘Jana Nayagan’, has not yet been released. Directed by H Vinoth, the film was expected to hit theatres in January. But things didn’t go as planned.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has reportedly refused to certify the film, leaving it stuck in limbo. There is no clear update on when or if it will finally release.
